Terry is known to be quite the gamer. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |
Sony Survey Reportedly Asking Fans If They've Heard Of The Burnout Series Posted: 30 Apr 2021 06:30 PM PDT Is it time for Criterion's smash hit racing series to return? Before Criterion Games signed on with EA to work on the Need for Speed series, it was known for its Burnout series. The 2008 open-world game Burnout Paradise was the last major entry we saw on console platforms, and since then, there's been nothing but a remaster of the same game - which arrived on the Nintendo Switch last June. Ni No Kuni II Might Be Coming To Switch Posted: 30 Apr 2021 02:00 PM PDT Ni YES Kuni. Or Ni Maybe Kuni, at least. ESRB ratings are hardly confirmation of video games becoming a reality, but we're hoping that this latest one is. Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is the colourful follow-up to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (which came to Switch in 2019 after widespread critical success), and recently, a few eagle-eyed journalists have noticed that an ESRB rating for the sequel on Switch has appeared. Feature: Every Mega Man Game Ranked Posted: 30 Apr 2021 10:30 AM PDT All the Mega Men ranked by you (yes, ALL of them). The little blue guy known as Mega Man (along with his various associates and related robots) has had a very long and storied career in video games. Since the NES days, he's starred in some absolute classics of the run-and-gun genre, although for every incredible game or spin-off experience Capcom has delivered, there have arguably been one or two titles that either didn't quite hit the mark or — more often — felt a little too familiar. With so many games in the Blue Bomber's back catalogue, it can be hard to know which ones are the cream of the crop. Well, that's where we come in. Actually, that's where you come in. Below you'll find every game featuring the words 'Mega Man' in the title ever to grace a Nintendo console (in the West). Yes, that's over fifty games, including all the spin-offs and side adventures — the Xs, ZXs, Zeroes, Battle Networks, and more. We've also included compilations for thoroughness; several of them feature titles that are unavailable separately on a Nintendo console (Mega Man: Power Battle or Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters on Mega Man Anniversary Collection, for example; Mega Man 8 on Mega Man Legacy Collection 2; Mega Man Battle & Chase in Mega Man X Collection). Fall Guys' Switch Release Has Been Delayed, But Crossplay Is In The Works Posted: 30 Apr 2021 08:15 AM PDT Mediatonic says it'll be 'really worth waiting for'. Back in February, it was revealed that one of 2020's biggest gaming hits, Fall Guys, was headed to Switch. It was originally going to launch for Nintendo's platform this summer, but the folks at Mediatonic have now announced that the game will be delayed. In a statement shared on the official Fall Guys website, the developer notes that the expected summer release window is "unfortunately just too soon" for the team to make the Switch edition as good as it can be. No new release window has been provided, but you can read the full message on the delay below: Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Guide: All Legendary Pokémon Locations in New Pokémon Snap Posted: 30 Apr 2021 07:00 AM PDT Fantastic Monsters & Where to Find Them. New Pokémon Snap houses 10 Legendary and Mythical Pokémon from across the franchise and while you may encounter a couple over your course of the story, many are quite well hidden - especially Suicune who's a little devil. Some Pokémon may not appear until you reach a Research Level of 3 so it's best to attempt these discoveries in the post-game.

Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It Posted: 30 Apr 2021 06:00 AM PDT For a minute there, I lost myself. There's a section of the acclaimed Windows adventure game The Neverhood entitled "The Hall of Records". It's essentially a (very) long gag – screen after screen of rooms, full to the brim with quite bizarre text. It takes what feels like hours to make it through with main character Klaymen's agonisingly slow walk speed, but you have to do it. Waiting at the end of this absolute meandering torture – which takes forever even if you completely ignore the lore hung on the walls – is a single collectable token, essential to completion. It's a sick joke, and one with a double punchline; you've now got to walk back. No shortcuts. You want to really laugh? The Longing is that same principle, applied to a full game. Everything takes forever to do. And it's all by design, which makes it something of a tricky prospect to review. Do you reward the game for evoking an atmosphere that it very much intended to evoke? Do you criticise the game for said atmosphere being phenomenally dull even though it's absolutely meant to make you feel that way? There's really no way to win. Thankfully, as we all know, winning isn't everything. So let's get very cross with The Longing and call it names. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Ouch! NES Collector Recalls The Time He Threw Out Packaging Worth $4,000 To 'Save Space' Posted: 30 Apr 2021 04:30 AM PDT "It's cardboard. Who cares?". Anyone who collects video games will know there's often a massive price difference between a loose cartridge and a 'mint in box' example – which is why the story of hardcore collector Seth is so painful to comprehend. Many years ago, when his collection of gaming items was slowly getting out of control, he decided to save space by binning all of the boxes for his NES titles, keeping only the cartridges and instructions. "It's cardboard," was his justification at the time. "Who cares?" Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Thief Simulator 2 Is Sneaking Onto Switch, But Not Until 2023 Posted: 30 Apr 2021 03:00 AM PDT "Bigger, better, prettier and even more exciting". Good news: Thief Simulator 2 has just been confirmed for a release on Nintendo Switch. Bad news: you're going to have to wait two whole years before you can play the thing. A sequel to 2019's Thief Simulator, this new release offers up a new dose of the stealthy, thievery gameplay seen in the first game while aiming to take things up a notch. The development team is promising "many improvements and new possibilities, including three diverse locations full of objects and goals." Read the full article on nintendolife.com |
The Legendary Silver and Teal Game Boy Advance, From Space World 2000, Has Been Found Posted: 30 Apr 2021 02:30 AM PDT Appears once in a blue moon. Nintendo Space World events live on in gaming history, from a time when Nintendo would save some of its very biggest reveals for the show. It's also a collector's goldmine, with demos, hardware and more revealed at the show before disappearing into obscurity. One example is the Silver and Teal Game Boy Advance; it's from a notable year, 2000, as that was the show that unveiled the true successor to the Game Boy. We've seen this trick from Nintendo multiple times of course, unveiling handhelds with all sorts of colours that don't make it to market, so it's always a thrill when they're discovered. Miitopia's New Mii Creation Tools Are Terrifyingly Powerful Posted: 29 Apr 2021 07:00 PM PDT Help Mii. It's been a long, long, long, long time since any new Mii creation tools were introduced — we're all pretty much using the same technology from the Wii days — but Miitopia, of all things, might be about to change that. See, it turns out that Nintendo aren't just re-releasing an old, weird 3DS game on Switch — they're also modernising it, and that includes new Mii tools. Specifically, that means two things: wigs, and makeup. It might not sound like a big deal, but if you know how creative people used to get with Miis back in the day, imagine what those same people can do with more power.
