Here's a bit of fun to liven up this dull Wednesday.

As you're no doubt aware, thanks to the reveal in this week's presentation hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, Dante from the Devil May Cry series is finally available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – as a Mii Fighter costume, at least. The costume's actually available to download as we speak, along with others based on the likes of Shantae and Skyrim's Dragonborn, as well as Tekken's Kazuya as a main fighter.

EarthBound YouTube Videos Keep Getting Flagged For Copyright By Sony

If you're a YouTube content creator hoping to share let's plays or other videos on EarthBound, SNES' cult classic RPG, you might want to think twice.

Over the past couple of weeks, reports have come flooding in from YouTube users who say that their EarthBound-based videos are being flagged for copyright by Sony. In some cases, it's reported that Sony has claimed the ad revenue for the video in question; in others, the videos appear to have been removed entirely.

Nintendo has announced a special spirit cross-promotion for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and it's probably not going to be the last.

If you happen to play Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and have a save file of the game on your Nintendo Switch, you'll be able to unlock a special spirit in Smash - the Razewing Rathalos and the game's hero.

Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Version 1.2.1 Patch Notes - Some Minor Fixes

Last week, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo released the first wave of DLC content for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It bumped the game up to version 1.2.0.

Now, it's rolled out a minor follow-up patch, which includes a minor fix and also a slight adjustment to make it slightly easier to view and purchase the expansion pass content on the game's main menu.

Spike Chunsoft Has A Mysterious New ARG Website... Could It Be About Zero Escape?

Stay calm, everyone — but Spike Chunsoft, makers of the brilliant Zero Escape series, the excellent Danganronpa series, and many other visual novels and narrative adventures, is teasing something new.

The website features nine eyes, each with puzzles on them. Clicking on each puzzle will allow you to type in the answer — in the form of a letter or a few letters — which will eventually give you the password to type in at the bottom of the page.

Regardless of what it is, it's probably going to be exciting... but there are clues that fans have found already as to what it might be.

Sky: Children Of The Light Is Now Available For Free On Switch eShop

The team at thatgamecompany is renowned by many console players for PlayStation titles like Flower and Journey, but since setting out on their own they've been making a mark on smart devices with Sky: Children of the Light. It's now available to download on the Switch eShop, and it's free-to-play with a decent amount of content to get you started at no cost.

The Switch version includes a "free main story arc and offers up the ability for eight players to explore and play socially at any one time", though as it's free-to-play there are paid options for more content. For Switch owners there'll be a Starter Pack at £28.99 (with regional variations), which includes "two new capes, a vessel flute, new hairstyle, 75 candles and an extra surprise". Pleasingly, whether you're planning to just try out the free content or pay for more there'll be cross-play with Apple and Android players; mobile players will also be able to carry progress across to the Switch port.

Crysis Remastered Is Getting A Physical Version On Switch

Alongside the Remastered Trilogy.

Crytek has announced that Crysis Remastered will soon be treated to a physical version on Nintendo Switch, more than a year after it initially launched as a digital title on the eShop.

The game first appeared on Switch back in July 2020 in a port that we described as being "more impressive than anyone could perhaps have realistically expected." It'll get a second lease of life at retail this fall, and physical copies will come with an exclusive bonus art card.

Pokémon x Nature x Adventure Project Teased In Japan

Seems thematically tied to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

It's another big year for Pokémon - though that applies to most years! - with anniversary celebrations and multiple games on the way. We're also seeing various new products for TV, merchandise and more, with The Pokémon Company now teasing a Pokemon x Nature x Adventure project for the Japanese market.

As you can see in the trailer above it's focusing on traditional Japanese crafts and methods, without giving a great deal of insight into what the product will be - perhaps limited edition merchandise? Thematically there's a pretty clear link with the 'old world' of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and the endplate of the video also includes a shortcut to that title's reveal trailer.

There are plenty of options on the market when it comes to Nintendo Switch carry cases and storage solutions, but sometimes you just can't beat an adorable homemade effort that gets the job done just as nicely.

Demonstrating our point perfectly is this wonderful little case from Instagram user, @thingamabobprints. Designed to look like a Power Star, the case can be cracked open to reveal slots for ten Switch cartridges – it's 3D printed from what the creator calls a "high quality" resin and can be seen in action below.

Review: Worms Rumble - Fun Traversal, But A Limited Battle Royale Spin-Off

War has changed.

If you've ever played a Worms game, chances are you know more or less how it works by now. Two or more teams wage war within the confines of a 2D destructible arena, each taking turns to make their move in a strategic battle of wits and firepower. It's a formula that, despite some missteps here and there, simply works. So when Worms Rumble came along to shake up the formula with faster, real-time gameplay, we were understandably a bit sceptical.

With every major game publisher seemingly desperate to show off their own take on the battle royale genre, Worms is the latest franchise to wave its hand in the air and yell "hey, we'll have some of that!". Worms Rumble is somewhat of a spin-off of the main Worms series, boasting real-time gameplay in a strictly online multiplayer setting. Its core modes consist of Team Deathmatch, Standard Deathmatch, Last Squad Standing, and Last Worm Standing. The latter two are the game's mandatory battle royale modes, though the overall player count can only reach a maximum of 32, albeit with cross-platform support.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was one of the highlights of this year's E3, offering a gorgeous splash of colour and comedy to liven up Ubisoft's show and giving fans of the original game something to look forward to as we hurtle towards 2022.

The footage we saw during the event looked particularly lavish, with some very pretty character models and intriguing new gameplay elements – it looked like we might be about to get our hands on much more ambitious sequel, and it turns out that that's exactly the case.
