It seems to have worked for quite a lot of people so far, but we're curious to know if anyone within the Nintendo Life community has had any luck yet. So vote in our poll and tell us down below in the comments if you ended up getting a shiny Pokémon. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Feature: Nintendo Hotliner Life 1990–93: Manning The Phones During The Console Wars Posted: 20 Nov 2021 10:00 AM PST The curious tale of a Nintendo UK Hotliner. "Video Game Enthusiasts Wanted!" teased the advert in the Portsmouth Evening News. Other than a phone number, this mysterious call to arms offered no further information. But as a gaming obsessed 18-year-old looking for a job after finishing a BTEC in Computer Studies, I was mesmerised by the possibilities - I had to call. A female voice answered and proceeded to quiz my gaming credentials: what games did I like? How many games had I completed? And curiously, did I have experience in telesales or call centres? A month later, in December 1990, I found myself joining five other rookie 'Games Counsellors' on the UK's first Official Nintendo Hotline, a telephone helpline dedicated to providing live hints, tips and tricks to flummoxed Nintendo gamers. This Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Randomiser Moves Everything Around And Steals Your Items Posted: 20 Nov 2021 08:00 AM PST A true game changer. When it comes to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the modding scene has been nothing short of spectacular. Fans have been busy creating all sorts of takes on Hyrule over the past few years, including entire unofficial DLC packs and all sorts of other chaotic changes to the base game, and this latest effort is yet another impressive addition. Known Breath of the Wild modder Waikuteru is back at it again, this time creating a Randomiser that mixes everything up and should keep even the most experienced players on their toes. Revealed today in a YouTube premiere, the new mod randomises the items you find, items you're given by NPCs, as well as enemy drops themselves. Even warping via the Sheikah Slate or going in and out of Shrines can be randomised too – who knows where you'll end up! Read the full article on nintendolife.com |
Guide: Best Pokémon Games Of All Time Posted: 20 Nov 2021 06:00 AM PST Where does Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl rank? What are the best Pokémon games? Ranking such classics proved difficult given how many of them end up being among the best games of their particular console generation. So we decided to modify our existing ranked list and ask Nintendo Life readers to rate every game in the series — and this is the result! To be clear, this is just the mainline entries; the games that introduced a new generation of Pokémon to the mix, their sequels, the ultimate versions and the remakes of those games, including the most recent, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Non-mainline spin-offs aren't included here, though — sorry Pokémon Smile fans. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |
