This is maybe the second time since the consoles launched I've written a post to let you know the Xbox Series S is in stock and available for purchase. Yes, it's not the Xbox Series X or the PS5, but for a lot of people, the Series S fits all their requirements and best of all, you can actually get one right now.

If you prefer to wait and try your chances, Walmart will have PS5 and Xbox Black Friday stock beginning tomorrow at 4 PM ET, but that's only if you're a Walmart+ member.

If you're looking to get one for yourself or as a gift, now is the time. This drop has lasted almost an hour now, probably a new record since the Xbox Series S launched last year. It's a Black Friday miracle.

As you can see, the major retailers have already started the deals promised earlier this month by Nintendo. It's really a great deal on an absolutely charming toy. Basically the best-selling game console going right now is a first-person controller for one of the coolest R/C car set-ups I think I've ever seen.

Both the Mario and Luigi sets are available and on sale. They come with the kart itself, which has a tiny little camera mounted to it for the first-person view. Additionally, you get the game (obviously) as well as a charging cable and gates to use to set up your in-home course.

Up to four players can race at once, but multiplayer used to require everyone had their own Switch. Not anymore. Nintendo just randomly rolled out an update allowing for two-player split-screen play with the Mario Kart Live set. In other words, if you have two of the toy cars, you no longer need two Switches and two copies of the game to be competitive.

Cyberpunk 2077 Drops to Just $10 for Black Friday

Cyberpunk 2077 has dropped to $9.99 again in time for the Black Friday sales (see here). Currently, the deal is only available at Target, for PS4 and Xbox, but we're expecting other retailers to catch up soon and price match the offer.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to get a next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2022, but the game is still playable on the consoles right now through backward-compatiblity.

Project L, the League of Legends 'Assist-Based Fighter,' Gets a Gameplay Deep Dive

Project L, the upcoming League of Legends "assist-based fighter," has received a brand-new gameplay deep dive that shows much more of the upcoming game set in Runeterra.

Project L was originally announced in 2019, and Riot Games' Tom and Tony Cannon stopped by Undercity Nights to show the progress the team has made. They were careful to say that this gameplay clip is a "vertical slice" that was built to "hammer out the final look of the game, in advance of actually going in and building all of our content like characters and stages."

While this may look like a polished demo, Tom confirmed the game would not be shipping in either 2021 or 2022, and that the team still has plenty of work to do until it's ready to be released into the world.

"Our goal is to build a super high-quality fighting game that the FGC can invest deeply in, playing for years or even decades," Tom said. "That takes time to get right, and we're not going to rush it."

Despite that, a lot more was revealed about Project L, including that it will be a "tag-team style fighting game, where you'll build and pilot a team of two different champions." Additionally, the art style has been updated and they walked players through a "breakdown of a champion's kit."

The controls are extremely important in Project L, and Riot is developing them with "an easy-to-learn but hard-to-master mentality." Another big focus for the team is the netcode, as it wants Project L to have "the absolute best" a fighting game can have.

"We also talk a little about one of our top priorities for the game: to build the absolute best in netcode that you can get in a fighter," Tom explained. "Of course we're starting with rollback as a foundation, and we're adding in existing tech from Riot like RiotDirect, which does a great job at minimizing ping for League of Legends and VALORANT."

Riot isn't quite ready to give a proper release date or window for the game besides saying it won't arrive this year or next, but it has confirmed that it is "almost locked in on the stuff that makes a game a game (core gameplay, controls, art direction, etc.) but we still need to do things like build out a full roster of champions, design stages, add menus and UI, create ranking systems, and more."

It will be some time before we hear more about Project L, as Tom shared that we won't hear from them again until "sometime early in the second half of 2022." This will be part of their plan to "commit to AT LEAST two updates next year."

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition Gets Its First Major Update

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has released its first major update and it provides fixes for Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

As detailed by Rockstar, these fixes include everything from "holes in the map" to "issues with character models in cutscenes" to the shockingly awful "issue with rain visual effects" in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

As of this writing, the update is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. We will update this story when it is released for Nintendo Switch and PC.

This is all part of Rockstar's plan to improve the quality of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition as, according to them, "the updated versions of these classic games did not launch in a state that meets our own standards of quality, or the standards our fans have come to expect."

Additionally, Rockstar has gifted everyone who owns Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on PC the classic PC versions of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as another way to make up for the problems. It has also made these classic versions available, once again, on the Rockstar Store as a bundle.

These issues were noticed quickly after launch, and they included quality concerns, Switch-specific problems, troubles with the Rockstar Launcher, missing elements, so much more.

In our review of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, we said it this collection is "defective, disappointing, and surprisingly disrespectful to three classic games and their many legions of fans."

PS Plus Is on Sale for $39.99 for Black Friday

The Black Friday deals are now live for PlayStation, and once again Sony dropped the price of 12 months of PlayStation Plus to $39.99 for the duration of the sales event. You can get a year's subscription to PS Plus for $39.99 at pretty much any retailer (see it on Amazon). This is a great deal for just about anyone with a PS4 or PS5, since it saves you $20 off the normal price.

New subscribers can take advantage of the deal, of course, but so can current PS Plus members. All you have to do is redeem the digital code to add 12 months onto your existing membership. It's a win-win.
