Posted: 02 Dec 2021 05:00 AM PST

An emphasis on fancy specs and high-end streaming.

In the portable gaming space we have Nintendo with the hugely popular Switch, powered by the ageing but competent NVIDIA Tegra X1, then we have increasingly powerful mobiles and tablets. There are a range of other portable devices that are smaller in scale but promoting powerful technology and concepts (Valve has its Steam Deck on the way), and chip manufacturer Qualcomm is joining that space with hardware producer Razer.

The companies have announced a partnership to produce a Snapdragon G3x 'developer kit', which is very much designed as a showcase of the company's technology and the results it can achieve in the portable gaming space. Posted: 02 Dec 2021 03:00 AM PST

More than 5,500 people have already backed the project.

The GameCube controller is one of the most popular controller designs ever released, so much so that Nintendo still releases special edition pads for Smash players to this day. That's where the 'Panda Controller' comes in. Designed by Panda Hardware, this new controller hopes to offer players the modern, upgraded GameCube controller they've always hoped for. Using parts of the "highest quality" and coming packed with plenty of customisation options, this looks like it could be a very decent choice for pro players and those who still get plenty of use out of their old GameCube system.
