| Street Fighter Returns to Xbox in 2023 with Street Fighter 6 Posted: 02 Jun 2022 05:24 PM PDT One of the most iconic and storied fighting games series returns to Xbox in 2023 when Street Fighter 6 launches for Xbox Series X|S. Powered by RE Engine, the same tech that has given us gorgeous photorealistic visuals to Capcom franchises like Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, Street Fighter 6 is shaping up to be the best-looking entry in the series.  While we eagerly await the full cast of fighters to be revealed, we were stoked to see the return of some fan-favorite legendary warriors like Ryu and Chun-Li, as well as recent stars like Luke from Street Fighter V and the newest reveal, Jamie, who not only looks to be a master break-dancer, but also comes equipped with a wide range of fighting styles. You're right on time, because we've made Knockout City free to play for everyone! Pass me the ball, will ya? I'm 'bout to show you around. Extreme Makeover: Hideout EditionHere in Knockout City, each player has a special space to call their own. We call it the Hideout, and it's where you'll spend time with your Crewmates, kicking back and testing out your new moves in between matches. Practice your catching skills with the Target Dummy, where you can close your eyes and listen for that exact moment to score a Perfect Catch, which will grant you Overcharge to speed up your next throw. Or, invite your Crewmates to join you and pair up to develop new strategies.  In preparation for Season 6, we headed down to Hideout Depot, and invested in some new improvements that will help make your Hideout an even better place for you and your friends. Each person's Hideout will display their chosen Crew Banner proudly for all to see. You won't take damage, but you'll need a moment to compose yourself. Besides, you're just going to look cooler when you can land a hit, catch the return and keep right on brawlin'. You'll also notice that every time you land a perfect catch, you'll gain a level of Overcharge. But don't get sloppy or your opponents can catch it and use all that stored energy against you! Brawl Im-Pass-torsLet's hear it for the return of the Brawl Pass, an exciting way to earn up to 100 additional rewards in a Season by earning XP and completing Brawl Pass Contracts! | Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection’s Most Epic Fights Posted: 02 Jun 2022 10:00 AM PDT With Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection dropping today with Xbox Game Pass, we wanted to look back at some of the most brutal, frenetic fight scenes in franchise history to help pump you up to dive back into this classic collection of games. As a follow-up to our Baddest Bosses in the Business Xbox Wire feature, we're presenting the three best fights across the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Time to make Ryu Hayabusa proud and start slicing up baddies like a boss! Fight #1: Ninja Gaiden Sigma – Murai At the end of the game Ryu battles a much faster version of Murai, a ruthless warrior who has also added some of Doku's attacks to his arsenal. Fitting her Crimson Blood title, Elizabet actually shoots blood at our favorite ninja, and if the blood strikes Hayabusa, Elizabet will regain health points. Use the Eclipse Scythe to strike from mid-range while avoiding her blood-draining maneuvers. Defeat her to collect the Heart of Crimson Blood! Fight #3: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge – Goddess The final boss of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Goddess is a deity created by the Lords of Alchemy. Made through a combination of biotech and magic, Goddess is an enormous creature being used as a weapon to destroy the old world while hoping to create a new one in its place. At the beginning of the fight, concentrate your attacks on the surrounding chimera. After clearing the enemies, Goddess will attempt to slay you with her sword and smash you with her giant arm. Slide under the sword attacks, dodge the arm smash, then quickly attack her arm to cause damage. Eventually, a quick time event plays out leading to the final sequence of the game. Introduced by Clive Standen, the legendary voice of Titus from the highly anticipated Space Marine 2, the Skulls Showcase started an exciting week of surprises with world premieres, exciting new announcements, and new content reveals for Xbox fans. Alongside this, the showcase heralded the start of huge deals with up to 90% off savings over on the Xbox and Windows Store during the event. Creative Assembly and Sega teased the release of Immortal Empires for Total War: Warhammer III, the long-awaited game mode combining the landmasses and armies of all three Total War: Warhammer games. Players will embark on the grandest campaign in strategy gaming with the release of the Immortal Empires beta for Total War: Warhammer III, arriving in Q3 2022. Total War: Warhammer III is available to play today with PC Game Pass and available for purchase on the Microsoft Store. Finally, the reveal of a new horde mode for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector by Slitherine as well as the announcement of the upcoming inclusion of Sisters of Battle as a playable faction DLC later this Autumn. | Posted: 02 Jun 2022 07:30 AM PDT One of the most distinctive and memorable aircraft in history comes to Microsoft Flight Simulator.Today we are pleased to introduce the fourth plane in the Microsoft Flight Simulator "Local Legends" series, the S.55. The "Local Legends" series celebrates the history of aviation and this plane, a twin-engine flying boat produced by Italian aviation manufacturer Savoia-Marchetti of Milan, is linked to our most recent World Update IX: Italy and Malta. It features a catamaran hull design, twin tail booms, triple vertical stabilizers, and a tractor-pusher engine-propulsion system mounted above its main wing. Constructed primarily of wood, the hydroplane's cockpit is located in the forward mid-section of the main wing and its hulls can be configured to carry a number of combinations of fuel, passengers, and cargo.  Savoia-Marchetti conceived the unique craft during the inter-war period to serve military roles, primarily that of a torpedo bomber, with its payload (which could also include bombs) slung under the centerline of the main wing between its two hulls. The premise was that the S.55 could wait at sea and surveil an area for approaching ships, then launch and attack. The hydroplane roared into the sky for the first time in August of 1924. While the Italian military initially disapproved of the concept, they adopted the flying boat into service in 1926. The plane engaged briefly in combat (during the Spanish Civil War), but its enduring legacy is its operations as aircraft of choice for a number of long-range flights, notably trans-Atlantic journeys.  This prototype version of the S.55, Jahú, was flown by Brazilian aviator João Ribeiro de Barros, from Genoa, Italy, to Sao Paulo, Brazil, completing the incredible voyage in 1927. The inspiring journey marked the first time that aviators hailing from the Western Hemisphere completed a trans-Atlantic flight. The Jahú is the last surviving Savoia-Marchetti S.55 and is on display at the TAM Museum in the Brazilian city of São Carlos.  This version of the S.55 features twin V-12 510-horsepower Isotta Fraschini water-cooled engines, in a tractor-pusher configuration, each turning two-blade wooden propellers, providing a cruise speed of approximately 110 miles per hour. S.55XThis model, the S.55X, from 1933, represents the final and most advanced iteration of the airframe produced. Only 25 were constructed. With an 800-horsepower Isotta Fraschini W-18 engines driving three-blade metal propellers and improved instrumentation, the S.55X boasts the highest performance and greatest range of all S.55 variants.  Shortly after their completion, all 25 ‘X’ models participated in a mass trans-Atlantic formation flight, known as the “Decennial Air Cruise,” led by General Italo Balbo of the Regia Aeronautica (Italian Royal Air Force). This flight, from Rome to Chicago's 1933 Century of Progress world’s fair, is one of aviation history's greatest success stories. It proved the quality of design and craftsmanship of the S.55X, the intrepidness and skill of the Italian aviators, and demonstrated that trans-Atlantic passenger service by airplane was feasible.  The Savoia-Marchetti S.55 and S.55X are available as a package in the Microsoft Flight Simulator in-sim marketplace today for $14.99.
