The Division 2 Will Get a Brand-New Game Mode in 'Late 2021 At the Earliest' Posted: 07 Mar 2021 06:13 AM PST Ubisoft has shared a bit more info on the big update coming to The Division 2 in late 2021 at the earliest, including that there will be a brand-new game mode and new ways to progress your agent. The Division 2 development team shared the update, following up on its recent confirmation that more content was on the way and that Title Update 12 was no longer going to be the last major update to the game. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/02/division-2-on-ps5-14-minutes-of-4k-60fps-gameplay"] While the team didn't reveal too much, they did tease that this new game mode is "entirely new to the franchise." Furthermore, the team is "investigating new ways to progress your agent with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability." Development on this new update is still in its early stages and will take several months to complete, according to the team, and it is currently scheduled to release in late 2021 at the earliest. The goal is to make "meaningful change to the game," so the necessary time will be taken to ensure that can come true. Until the update is ready, Ubisoft Massive will be re-running previous seasons released during Year 2. This means that the next season - Season 5 - will be a re-run of Season 1 and will give players a chance to collect rewards and collectibles that they may have missed the first time around. There will also be regular Leagues and Global Events, new Apparel Events, and minor Title Updates focused on game health. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/03/23/the-division-2-review"] Ubisoft Massive also revealed that The Division 2 has seen over 40 million players and that March 2020 saw the highest activity for the game since its launch in February 2019. Development on The Division 2 will continue on as the studio also works on creating its Avatar game and the recently announced open-world Star Wars project. Ant-Man Is the Latest Marvel Superhero to Join Fortnite Posted: 06 Mar 2021 07:34 PM PST Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to arrive in Fortnite, and the teases leading up to his arrival were a tiny bit hilarious. The Fortnite Team announced that Ant-Man will be arriving in the Item Shop alongside the Toothpick Pickaxe and Ant-Man's trusty steed, Ant-Tonio, as Back Bling. While Ant-Man joining Fortnite is a wonderful thing on its own, the teases leading up to his official announcement were just as great. Fortnite's Twitter shared three different images of small Ant-Man on other Marvel characters, including Cable, Blade, and Captain America. You can see all the images in the slideshow below. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=fortnite-ant-man-tease-and-official-reveal&captions=true"] Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to join Fortnite, and the latest pop culture crossover character since Ripley and the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise. This addition is surely a welcome one for fans of Ant-Man, who have to wait until 2022 to see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Peña are all returning for the third Ant-Man film, with Peyton Reed once again directing. It has been reported that Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has been cast in a major villain role, and their sources claim he will be playing Kang the Conqueror. Genshin Impact's Next Update Adds a Dating Sim and the Windblume Festival Posted: 06 Mar 2021 01:39 PM PST Genshin Impact's version 1.4 update, which arrives on March 17, will add the Windblume Festival, a mini-dating sim, a new 4-star character named Rosaria "Thorny Benevolence," and much more. As detailed on PlayStation.Blog, the Windblume Festival will be available to all players who are at Adventure Rank 20 or above and have completed the Archon Quest "Song of the Dragon and Freedom." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=genshin-impact-version-14-update-screenshots&captions=true"] As for this dating sim, players will have a chance to spend time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun, and there will be different endings and memories depending on your choices and interactions with each character. Furthermore, each actual ending will award players with a Hangout Memory Illustration. The Windblume Festival, which is a celebration of romance and passion, will also feature three mini-games that support both single-player and co-op mode. These new games are Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall, and Ballads of Breeze. There will be four difficulty levels for each game, and players will earn rewards and Festive Tour Tickets for participating. These tickets can be exchanged in the Event Shop for Talent Level-Up Materials and two new exclusive gadgets - the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon and the Windsong Lyre. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/03/05/genshin-impact-hu-tao-breakdown"] The Peculiar Wonderland will also be available and offers a series of harder challenges that has players facing off against three random challenge scenarios. By completing this activity, players will recieve Peculiar Collab Coupons that can be exchanged for Weapon Ascension Materials and a brand-new 4-star bow, the Windblume Ode. There will also be a new 4-star playable character named Rosaria "Thorny Benevolence." Rosaria is "a sister of the Church of Favonius who players may have already encountered during their adventures with Albedo in Dragonspine. Bearing a Cryo Vision, Rosaria is a powerful polearm wielder with an Elemental Skill that allows her to instantly shift behind her enemy, piercing and slashing them to deal Cryo damage. Her Elemental Burst allows her to attack with a mighty slash, causing massive Cryo damage and summoning a frigid Ice Lance that deals continuous Cryo damage to nearby enemies." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/03/genshin-impact-collected-miscellany-xiao-conqueror-of-demons-trailer"] Lastly, this new update will increase the Original Resin limit from 120 to 160, and will allow Travelers to hold up to five Condensed Resin in their inventory. Travelers will also have the option to lower their World Level to "better suit their needs in single-player and co-op mode." [poilib element="accentDivider"] Have a tip for us?
