Help Palestinian Civilians In Need By Donating To Charity Posted: 15 May 2021 09:21 AM PDT As you may have seen in the news, Palestinian civilians are currently being subjected to great suffering. Significant numbers have been injured or killed in the West Bank, Gaza, and Jerusalem after being bombarded by Israeli forces. Areas are now without electricity and water, making the lives of the already helpless and wounded people much more difficult. Recent events compound decades' worth of damage and destruction that has left the people in the areas affected in dire need. There is a very real humanitarian crisis in Palestine and we wanted to highlight a number of charities that are operating in the worst affected areas. These organizations are accepting donations, which are used to provide aid to those desperately in need, so please consider lending your support. Palestine Children's Relief FundPCRF is a nonprofit in the Middle East and provides free surgery and other urgent aid to thousands of sick and injured children, regardless of their religion or nationality. Your donation helps the organization to heal children and save lives. Continue Reading at GameSpot |

Resident Evil Village Is Already On Sale At Amazon Posted: 15 May 2021 08:06 AM PDT Resident Evil Village only released last week, but if you're in the market for the game on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X, then Amazon has you covered. The Xbox version is currently on sale for $50, down from its standard $60 cost, and with Smart Delivery, your system will automatically install the best version it can run.
The deal does not apply to the PS4 or PS5 versions of the game, which are both still $60 on Amazon. It's worth noting that if you are planning to get the game for PlayStation anyway, the PS4 version is actually the better purchase, as it includes a free digital upgrade to the PS5 version. The PS5 game sold on Amazon does not support the reverse, so you cannot use it on PS4. Continue Reading at GameSpot |
New World Dev Explains How In-Game Store Will Work, Player Feedback Appreciated Posted: 15 May 2021 07:19 AM PDT Amazon Games' New World--which seems to be one of the only projects the company has kept from being canceled--is due out this August, and the game is going to have a real-money store. However, the development team is soliciting players' feedback regarding this store are trying to be transparent about future plans. The game's recent alpha-stage patch notes made mention of the in-game store, and studio director Rich Lawrence released a statement on Twitter to explain how it would work.
"All store items at launch will be exclusively cosmetic in nature," Lawrence said. "We are introducing the storefront in alpha in order to test these items and their value. No selections in the store or their indicated cost (during testing there is no real cost in any case) is final. Our purpose is quality assurance and gathering player feedback, so please share your thoughts once the system is introduced." Continue Reading at GameSpot |

Big Nintendo Switch SD Card Is Nearly Half Off At Best Buy Posted: 15 May 2021 06:47 AM PDT The Nintendo Switch basically necessitates a memory card, and the microSDXC cards it supports can get pretty expensive at higher capacities. That's why it's a great time to buy one with Best Buy's current sale, which prices a 400GB card down to almost half its normal cost.
The SanDisk 400GB microSDXC card for Nintendo Switch is typically $180 at Best Buy, but it's only $100 during this sale, and a free Shutterfly $25 voucher or 8x8 photo book is included as a free bonus. Though other brands and non-licensed cards will also work perfectly fine with your system and can come at lower prices, some of the other models we've seen don't have the same warranty length. This model is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, meaning that if something goes sideways a few years after you purchase it, there is a good chance you'll be able to get a replacement for free. New FFXIV Endwalker Job Is Reaper; What We Know About The Scythe-Wielding Class Posted: 15 May 2021 01:08 AM PDT In true Naoki Yoshida fashion, the Final Fantasy XIV director and producer kicked off a Fan Fest by giving the keynote presentation cosplaying as the new Reaper job featured in an upcoming expansion. For Fan Fest 2021, Yoshi-P came out in a Bloodborne-esque getup holding a huge scythe to represent the fact that players will be able to take on the new Reaper melee DPS job in Endwalker. The presentation showed off the Reaper in action with a video and with several details on how this job works. Reapers use a scythe as their main weapon to deal most their damage from close range, and they also summon a ghostly avatar from the Void to fight alongside them. Yoshida-san explained that Reapers can temporarily channel the power of their Voidsent avatar and become a host for it--although we don't know exactly how this will work, this will be a key gameplay mechanic for the job. As for armor and gear category, Reapers will share equipment with the Lancer/Dragoon. In order to play as a Reaper in FFXIV, you'll need to have the Endwalker expansion on your account and have one other job/class at level 70 on your character so you can initiate the required job quest--that job quest will be found in Ul'dah. Full Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Cinematic Trailer Revealed, Contains Major Story Implications Posted: 14 May 2021 11:10 PM PDT Final Fantasy XIV players are thriving right now with Fan Fest 2021 kicking off and plenty of new details of the upcoming Endwalker expansion, which is set to launch on November 23 (and November 19 for those who preorder). The full intro cinematic trailer for Endwalker started the show and it contains some wild implications for where FFXIV's story is going. A shorter teaser version was first shown back in February this year, but this new version is the official six-minute Endwalker intro, and you can watch it below. Be warned, however--the trailer contains spoilers for those who are not caught up to at least the end of the 5.3 story content. This full version starts similarly with the Warrior of Light walking on the moon, then showing Alisaie fighting beastly creatures on their home planet as the Warrior of Light and Alphinaud--who's sporting the new Sage healer job--come in to join her fight. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition First-Timer PSA - Play Either As Full Paragon Or Full Renegade Posted: 14 May 2021 05:26 PM PDT One of the most memorable features of the Mass Effect series has always been its morality system, which splits between the Paragon and Renegade options. Choice is a huge part of the Mass Effect series, as they are role-playing games, and that's true in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition as well. If you're new to the series, though, you might not realize exactly how the morality system works. It toggles between two extremes: Paragon, a conversation-centric, merciful approach, and Renegade, a down-to-business, confrontational approach. And while it can be fun to change how your Commander Shepard approaches problems on a case-by-case basis, we've got some advice for you: Pick Paragon or Renegade and stick with it. Your status as either Paragon or Renegade is determined by your choices throughout the game, whether it's in dialogue with other characters or in how you choose to resolve conflicts and solve problems. In dialogue, Paragon choices are always on the top of the dialogue wheel, while Renegade choices are always on the bottom. As mentioned, these aren't so much "good" or "bad"; more like "diplomatic" and "expedient." The Paragon works with other people to try to make everyone happy, while the Renegade gets the job done no matter whose feathers it might ruffle. As you make Paragon or Renegade choices, you'll earn points for each side, which are tracked on the Squad screen for your character in all three games. It's fully possible to collect both Paragon and Renegade points throughout the game, allowing what seems best in the moment to dictate how you talk with people or wrap up problems. However, there are a lot of things in the Mass Effect games that are dependent on you either being very Paragon or very Renegade. Often, it doesn't matter which of the two extremes you hit, as long as you hit one of them. Being fully Paragon or fully Renegade (or at least pretty close) often opens up extra dialogue options and other content in the game. Continue Reading at GameSpot |

Edge of Tomorrow Sequel Doesn't Seem Likely According to Emily Blunt Posted: 14 May 2021 05:04 PM PDT Edge of Tomorrow threw Tom Cruise into an action-packed time loop with Emily Blunt's formidable soldier Rita, and it resonated with fans. Rumors of a sequel have swirled for years since the 2014 film, but it may not be in the cards, Blunt said in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. A sequel was in full-on production in 2019 according to EW, but Blunt said that she doesn't know if a sequel could happen in light of current world conditions. It was far enough along, though, that she even read a script for it. "That was an amazing script," Blunt said. "But I just don't know what the future holds for it, I did read a script that was in really great shape, but it's just a matter of if that can even happen now. I don't have a straight answer on that one." Continue Reading at GameSpot |
