Kung-Fu Brawler Sifu Is Coming Two Weeks Early Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:43 AM PST Sifu, the kung-fu brawler from the makers of Absolver, is releasing earlier than planned. Following a delay out of 2021 and into February 22, 2022, the game will now be released two weeks sooner, on February 8, instead. Developer Slocap writes in the YouTube description of the trailer announcing the new date that the team has made good progress on getting Sifu ship-ready, and as a result will be releasing ahead of schedule. Slocap states that additional gameplay videos for the upcoming action game will be coming via official PlayStation channels soon. Sifu's new release date moves the game away from some heavy-hitting games slated to release in late February. Sony's Horizon: Forbidden West arrives on PS4 and PS5 on February 18, while Elden Ring, From Software's heavily anticipated open-world RPG, is set to release on February 25 following a month-long delay. The new Saints Row reboot was also slated to release on February 25, but following Elden Ring's delay, will now release on August 23. Continue Reading at GameSpot |

New World Into The Void Update: Full Patch Notes Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:09 AM PST New World's first major content update is here, and it's a doozy. Alongside additional content, including a new weapon, the update addresses a number of pain points players have had with the game since launch, making this the most significant update for Amazon's MMORPG yet. Leading the charge is the introduction of the Void Gauntlet, a new Focus/Intelligence weapon that can serve a couple of different roles. Investing skill points into the Annihilation weapon mastery tree will make the Void Gauntlet a formidable close-range weapon, while focusing on the Decay tree puts the weapon into more of a support role, capable of debuffing enemies and bolstering allies. The world of Aeternum does not have a particularly wide variety of enemies, but Amazon is beginning to remedy that situation with the introduction of a new enemy faction, the Varangian Knights. These warriors are invading the southeastern region of Aeternum for reasons unknown, but it's clear the enemy faction is up to no good. New enemy types for many of New World's existing enemy factions are coming with the update as well. Continue Reading at GameSpot |
SIFU Updated Release Date Trailer Posted: 18 Nov 2021 08:59 AM PST ![]() |
Posted: 18 Nov 2021 08:47 AM PST Amazon's adaptation of The Wheel of Time series premieres this Friday, meaning fans can finally see some of their favorite characters come to life for the first time. Actors Rosamund Pike and Daniel Henney portray Moiraine and her Warder Lan--something that had been a dream for Henney--in the fantasy epic, who share a magical bond that grants them special abilities. Speaking to the press about the upcoming show, Pike and Henney talked about their characters, and how they quickly bonded in real life because of a mishap with a sword while filming a pivotal scene. "I use a real sword because the weight throws me off if I use a fake one," Henney admitted. "I slashed her hand and we went to the emergency room because we thought her hand was broken and thought we had to shut down production and so that was how we bonded." Continue Reading at GameSpot |

Spider-Man: No Way Home's Script Was Rewritten While Filming Posted: 18 Nov 2021 08:38 AM PST Actor Tom Holland has revealed in a new GQ interview that Spider-Man: No Way Home was being rewritten while shooting. "You could ask the director [Jon Watts], 'What happens in act three?'" said Holland. "His response would be, 'I'm still trying to figure it out'." Holland then further elaborated--though offered few details--about a "crescendo scene" that "wasn't working." Holland and Watts sidebarred and agreed the scene "was wrong." The pair "sat down...and we came up with a new idea." Although fans have been lighting up social media with concern over this detail, the reality is scripts frequently change from initial development all the way up to post-production. It doesn't necessarily mean anything one way or the other ultimately for the story or how the film might land with critics. Either way, fans won't have to wait much longer to see the movie and decide for themselves--Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17. Continue Reading at GameSpot |
Deathloop Update 2 Adds Controller Remapping And Makes Many NPC Changes Posted: 18 Nov 2021 08:25 AM PST A new update for Deathloop, the game's second major patch since launch, is out now. In terms of new features, the update adds controller remapping and an inverting option for the right and left stick. On PS5, there are new field-of-view and motion-blur options, while UI buttons and text in menus are now larger to help address accessibility concerns. The November 18 patch also makes changes to NPC behavior in a number of ways. NPCs will now react more appropriately to bullets that narrowly miss them, while they will also react more realistically when one of their NPC friends is assassinated nearby. What's more, NPCs are getting smarter and can now hear better and react faster to your movements, while NPCs can also now determine the direction of an incoming grenade and react accordingly. Modders Behind GTA Re3 Project Are Fighting Take-Two's Lawsuit Posted: 18 Nov 2021 07:42 AM PST After landing on the receiving end of a lawsuit from game publishing giant Take-Two Interactive, a group of modders has decided to fight it out with the company in court. The modders were originally sued for their project, Re3, which reverse-engineered the source code for GTA III and GTA: Vice City, allowing the games to run on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita. The modding group, however, is denying accusations of copyright infringement from Take-Two, stating that they "deny that Plaintiff is entitled to any of the relief sought in its prayer for relief. Defendants respectfully request that the Court enter judgment in their favor and against Plaintiff, denying Plaintiff all relief sought herein." Take-Two has claimed that the modding group's reverse engineering and distribution of Re3 "has caused, and is continuing to cause, irreparable harm to Take-Two." Through the lawsuit, Take-Two is seeking "damages, and injunctive and other equitable relief against Defendants and those working in concert with them." Continue Reading at GameSpot |
