We've been keeping a keen eye on the Evercade project ever since it was announced, and continue to be impressed with its expanding range of physical carts showcasing many previously hard-to-obtain retro titles. The two latest carts cover the work of North American publisher Renovation and UK studio Gremlin Graphics. Like previous offerings, these packs include multiple games and represent excellent value for money – perhaps more than is immediately apparent, in fact. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Ukrainian developer Sengi Games has announced its intention to push on with its original intended launch date of April 26th for 'sandbox-roguelike' title The Serpent Rogue. Triangle Strategy Has Sold 800,000 Copies In Just Two Weeks Posted: 18 Mar 2022 06:00 AM PDT A tactical victory. Triangle Strategy has been quietly doing the rounds here at Nintendo Life, impressing us with its gorgeous visuals and in-depth tactical combat. And it seems like many people around the world agree with our review that it's pretty darn brilliant. You should read it in case you're still thinking about picking it up. Producer Tomoya Asano has reported that Square Enix's latest (triangle) strategy RPG has sold 800,000 copies worldwide, and for a genre that (outside of Nintendo's Fire Emblem) doesn't seem to be as big as it once was, that's pretty impressive. The game only came out two weeks ago, too. Read the full article on nintendolife.com |

Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 1 - A 'Safe' Start To The 48-Track DLC Pack Posted: 18 Mar 2022 05:00 AM PDT The Tour begins. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most popular game on Switch, the very definition of an 'evergreen' title. Aside from the Battle Mode and a few minor changes, however, devoted fans have been playing the same content since the Wii U original with its DLC content, a scenario that finally changes with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe-exclusive Booster Course Pass. Wave 1 has landed and generated plenty of excitement, and there's certainly a thrill in booting the game up and being presented with two new Cups to enjoy — Golden Dash Cup and Lucky Cat Cup. The mix of courses reminds us that this is the equivalent of the 'bottom row' of the original line-up, with a range of retro and — for the first time — Mario Kart Tour tracks included in the eight new offerings. It's a solid initial selection though, especially as this is the first batch and therefore presumably the 'easier' Cups in what will become a whopping 48-track package. Dark Deity Sure Does A Good Impression Of Fire Emblem Posted: 18 Mar 2022 04:30 AM PDT And it's out this week. To mark the occasion, a special launch trailer has been released, and it really hammers home how much the game takes inspiration from Nintendo's Fire Emblem series. You've heard it all before: "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best thing since sliced wheat bread", "It revolutionised the video game industry", "It's the best video game of all time!" What hasn't been said about Ocarina of Time in the last 24 years? It's won all the accolades and acclaim it's possible to win, right? Well, one thing that it hasn't won is a spot in The Strong Museum's World Video Game Hall of Fame. However, that could change this year as Ocarina of Time is up for entry! Sonic The Hedgehog's Tails Is Set To Become The Next Hot Vtuber Posted: 18 Mar 2022 03:00 AM PDT 'TailsTube' will be more wholesome than it sounds. SEGA has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog's Tails is set to become a Vtuber (that's 'virtual YouTuber', granddad) with a new series called 'TailsTube' starting next week.
