Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is Stumbling Onto Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One This Summer Posted: 18 Feb 2021 06:00 AM PST Summary
So, big news: I'm super-delighted to share that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this Summer! Our whole team cannot wait to welcome Xbox players to the Blunderdome for all sorts of bean-based mayhem — it's certainly been a while coming, but we're here and couldn't be happier. To the uninitiated, Fall Guys is a massively-multiplayer "bumble royale," where eager beans compete through Rounds of escalating chaos until just one victor remains. Set in the hyper-colorful Blunderdome, you're tasked with tackling oodles of treacherous arenas, with each qualification bringing you one step closer to the coveted Crown. In your path stands some of the wildest obstacles ever to grace an imaginary game show, so your diving, grabbing and last-second jumping abilities best be in tip-top condition. If you can picture the mayhem of "Takeshi's Castle" and "Total Wipeout," but populated by indestructible technicolor beans, you're tumbling in the right direction. The rest of the team and myself at Mediatonic have been hard at work concocting more and more elaborate schemes for future content and I really feel Xbox players will be joining the Fall Guys shenanigans at a particularly exciting time. There's a delicious selection of dapper costumes, imaginative rounds, features and improvements in the pipeline and I can't wait to share them all with our lovely new Xbox audience this Summer. See you soon in the Blunderdome! Related:Free Play Days – Fuser and Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Stubbs the Zombie Makes His Triumphant Return to Xbox This Spring Welcome to Knockout City |
Stubbs the Zombie Makes His Triumphant Return to Xbox This Spring Posted: 17 Feb 2021 03:30 PM PST Stubbs here. That's right, baby. I'm back and better than ever. Well, I'm actually exactly the same as I was back in 2005. I was already pretty great though, so there's that. ![]() I'm here today to get you in on the ground floor of an exciting opportunity: Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse, an Xbox classic, is coming soon to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Still not sold? How's about I walk you through all the great features this game has to offer? Same Engine Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse runs on a state-of-the-art game engine of tomorrow*: a really good engine from a super popular game that we're unsure if we can legally name. That game launched on Xbox too, and it was a real Master piece, if you catch my drift, Chief.** ![]() Sure, it may come straight from 2005, but I'm living(ish) proof that some things get better with age. Heck, I'll even throw in modernized controls and all-new achievements to sweeten the deal. Same Special Abilities You've got guts kid, I can tell.*** Ever thought about using them as a grenade? My dubiously patented Gut Grenade is gonna explode in popularity, mark my words! ![]() Of course, there are other ways to blow folks away. Some people say that my approach stinks, but Unholy Flatulence knocks 'em dead every time. Since you've gotten this far, there's something you need to know about zombies: We know how to get ahead. Specifically, a sputum head. Bowling is for jerks, but detaching your head and bowling down jerks? That's the good stuff. So, Whaddaya Think? I don't know about you, but I'm feeling pretty good about this whole thing. Same Stubbs, new consoles. Has a nice ring to it. Now, how would you feel if I told you that you can pre-order the digital version of Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse today on the Xbox Store? ![]() Still have some doubts? Take some time and think about it. I can wait… after all, I've waited for 15 years to return. What's another couple months? *Legal here. We would like to inform you that it was the game engine of tomorrow in 2005, but now it's technically a game engine of yesterday. **Legal again. Any similarities in the previous sentence to any characters that may or may not be owned by Xbox are entirely coincidental. ***Legal, one more time. Stubbs the Zombie is not intended for children, kids, or really anyone. It's gross, immature, and "in incredibly bad taste" according to most. ![]() Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a PulseAspyr $19.99 Be the Zombie. Kick A** and Take Brains. It's 1959 and the city of Punchbowl, PA, is a beacon of progress and ideal living. Show the living that law and order are no match for a dead man on a mission. Your boyfriend's back Maggie and Punchbowl is gonna be in trouble! Welcome to Knockout City, the dodgeballiest of multiplayer games, coming your way on May 21 to Xbox Series X|S (through backwards compatibility with enhancements), Xbox One, and PC. Knockout City is full of bright-eyed, bushy-tailed brawlers like yourself, ready to bean opponents with balls in a friendly (well, mostly friendly) dodgebrawl competition. Suit up with endless cosmetic options, then get right into the action. It'll take a careful combination of teamwork, positioning, and timing to outsmart your opponents: Pass to allies for a high-speed hit from a new angle, throw trick shots to blast them around corners or over walls, or use fake throws to trip up their catches. ![]() If you're wanting for projectiles, you can always stop, drop, and ball up, becoming a weapon for your crew. Throw a fully charged ally for an ultimate throw that lands hard with an instant-KO blast! The dodgeballs you see across Knockout City aren't your garden-variety playground dodgeballs. They're a bit more dangerous, and some of them are powerful special balls. The Bomb Ball starts ticking down to kaboom from the moment you pick it up. The Cage Ball will trap your enemy in ball form, letting you throw them off the map or, more embarrassingly, into their own teammates. Use the Moon Ball to take your brawl to new heights with its low gravity effect, or throw it to knock opponents into the stratosphere. ![]() This city of ours is a lively place, and every locale brings fresh mechanics to remix your brawl. The blustery winds of Rooftop Rumble will give your gliders a boost, letting you soar between skyscrapers to lob balls down onto unsuspecting opponents. Knockout Roundabout is the city's bustling heart, and it's got the constant traffic to prove it, which is conveniently usable as both transportation and cover. If you're heading to Concussion Yard, put on a hardhat… though it won't protect you from that wrecking ball. Seriously, who left that thing running? More maps and special balls will be revealed in the coming months, so stay tuned! ![]() If you're brawling with the best of 'em, you gotta look the part. Knockout City is full of cosmetic options. Your outfit, hair, body type, glider, taunt, and KO effect are just a few of the pieces you can customize. You can even select your reaction for the end of a match. Sore loser? Gracious winner? The choice is yours. In Knockout City, standing out is just as important as standing with your crew. Every member wears the same logo on their back, and you'll fly into matches in the same slick hovercar. ![]() Knockout City drops on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on May 21 on the Xbox Store. Full cross-play lets you throw down with friends no matter what system they're on, and at launch, everyone will get a chance to try dodgebrawling for free during the trial period. My fellows and I here at Velan Studios have spent the last four years building Knockout City from the ground up — and lemme tell you, those buildings are tall. We, and our partners at EA Originals, cannot wait to get it into your hands. But the information here is just the tip of the dodgeball iceberg. To stay up to date on all things Knockout City, follow us on Twitter, join the official Discord, check out knockoutcity.com, or slap down your email for our newsletter. We'll see you in the city, brawlers. ![]() Knockout City™Electronic Arts COMING SOON: Team up and duke it out with rival Crews in Knockout City™, where you settle the score with EPIC DODGEBALL BATTLES.
