It Just Got Easier to Discover Games on Xbox in Your Preferred Language Posted: 10 Mar 2021 09:00 AM PST With so many exciting games on the market, it's understandable that gamers may do some homework before committing to a title: that can entail reading reviews, looking up technical features, or just making sure a game supports the way we prefer to play. But it shouldn't feel like research. Today we're happy to announce updates to the Microsoft Store on Xbox and the Xbox Game Pass app to show you which languages a game supports at a glance. You can now easily determine whether a game contains any in-game language support based on a 'Languages' label before you even open the product details page. In-game language information is being collected for three elements of the gaming experience – a title's interface, audio and subtitles – across 27 languages. We've already added language tags to hundreds of games and will add more over time. With this update, when you log into the Microsoft Store on Xbox or the Xbox Game Pass app, you can easily see which languages a game supports, making it easier to decide if you'd like to purchase or play that title. This view will also show what aspects of the game have been localized for a given language, including the game's interface (game controls and on-screen menus, for example), the spoken audio you'll hear from the characters, and subtitles corresponding to that audio. To make it even easier, the language you select as the default for your console will surface to the top of the list; you won't have to scroll. ![]() The addition of language tags to the Microsoft Store on Xbox and in the Xbox Game Pass app on consoles is an important step toward our goal of making you and your friends feel at home when you play on Xbox. This update will make that easier, and help bring the joys of gaming to more people. Stay tuned, because later this year we will unveil more updates to make it even easier for you to find and play games that are right for you, meeting your unique preferences and needs. The world of gaming is vast and diverse, and we believe there is a perfect game or games for everyone – we're here to make that process quicker and easier. Thank you! It Takes Two’s New Trailer Gives an Exciting Peek into a Magical World Posted: 10 Mar 2021 08:00 AM PST Summary
The new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure co-op platformer It Takes Two is here! It gives us another exciting peek into its magical world, the gameplay challenges and characters residing within, and how our protagonists Cody and May got there in the first place. Watch it now and learn even more below! Rose, normally a happy and carefree 9-year-old, is devastated that her parents, Cody and May, have been arguing a lot as of late. It's bad, and they've decided to split up. Believing that her dad and mom are too busy to pay attention to her, Rose takes matters into her own hands. In secret, she pleads with a self-help book titled "Book of Love" and two scrappy-looking dolls representing her parents. She cries and desperately begs them to stay together. Unbeknownst to Rose, her tears magically transform real-life Cody and May into the dolls, throwing them headfirst into a fantastical world. ![]() Here, Cody and May encounter Dr. Hakim – a living version of Rose's "Book of Love." Dr. Hakim claims that he promised Rose to fix their relationship. He further explains that this strange world they're now in is a result of their own neglect – both for each other and the things around them. The vacuum cleaner they didn't get around to fix? Well, it's alive now, and out for revenge. The wasp nest that was never removed? It has sparked an all-out war between a gang of squirrels and the invading insects. That's just a taste of some of the obstacles Cody and May will have to overcome to get back to normal. ![]() As a "famous expert on love," Dr. Hakim has designed specific challenges for Cody and May based on his own philosophy on topics such as time, attraction, and passion. The key to success? Working together, of course! Because in the genre-bending, magical, and disruptive world of It Takes Two, only one thing's for certain: We're better together. Pre-order It Takes Two for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S today on the Microsoft Store for Xbox and get ready for a wild co-op adventure on March 26! Pacer Now Available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One Posted: 10 Mar 2021 07:00 AM PST Welcome to the Pacer World Championship, pilots! Pacer is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One and I couldn't be more excited for the Xbox community to join the race and experience the thrill (and speed!) of high-octane, anti-gravity combat racing. The year is 2075. You’re a fresh pilot on the starting grid, ready to take on any and all challengers to make a name for yourself and become the Pacer world champion. With race tracks, visuals, and audio design as intense as the 80+ song list, there’s something for everybody in what I call a love letter to the golden age of AG racing. Pacer takes a classic, high-speed formula and enhances it with a massive amount of features and custom settings to tailor the experience to your own liking. ![]() Want to know what it's like to race at 1,000km/h? In Pacer, customization and speed is the name of the game. Enter your garage and you'll discover 5 unique craft to choose from, plus an entire range of skins and accessories to set you apart from other pilots online and off. Dive deeper and you'll find a large collection of weapons and defenses to equip on your ship that can be further altered with behavioral mods, plus performance mods that change how your craft races, including braking, handling, engine, and (my favorite!) anti-gravity lift. All of this is going to cost you, though. You'll earn credits by competing in the campaign, proving your skills online or taking part in one of the 8 race modes, including the unique “Storm” on-track battle royale mode. Choose to race with weapons on or off, set the number of laps, toggle collisions and even create custom music playlists with the in-game soundtrack. With 14 locations to race in (not including reverse, mirrored, day and night variants) and 4 speed classes to choose from (F3000, F2000, F1000 all the way to “Elite” for absolute speed freaks), the personal touch goes far beyond just your craft customization. ![]() Okay, you've selected your craft, loadout, race type, speed class and track. Now what? On the track, you'll do battle with up to 9 other pilots online or offline, where it’s up to you to decide where to use your speed boosts, when to fly over weapon or shield pick-ups, and whether to leave your rivals in the dust – or in flames. Whether you’re in it for the extreme speed, the high-octane combat, the leaderboard glory or the custom experience, Pacer is a destructive, futuristic racer that has you covered. I can't wait to see you out on the track, if you can catch me! ![]() PACERR8 Games $39.99 $31.99 Xbox One X Enhanced With the depth of a simulation and the excitement and combat of arcade racers, PACER® provides a true test of player skill, reflexes, and strategy. Choose from 4 speed classes ranging from 400 km/h – 1000 km/h, then engage in the Campaign or a single-player race via 8 different game modes. Prepare to battle your opponents on 14 unique and challenging tracks complete with interchangeable variants (Night, Mirrored, Reverse). Get behind the controls of 5 varied Craft and 11 weapons, each with their own unique characteristics. The Garage allows you to fully customize your look and tune many performance and weapons parameters. Online Multiplayer supports up to 10 players, 7 game modes, matchmaking, worldwide leaderboards, spectator mode and VOIP. Create a playlist from 80+ songs, featuring original tracks by CoLD SToRAGE and an extensive licensed library from named artists. Party Game Racer Can’t Drive This Coming to Xbox on March 19 Posted: 09 Mar 2021 01:00 PM PST Hey there, everyone! You might remember us from our previous title ChromaGun a while back. Well, we have some exciting news for you, and I'll just jump right out and say it: Can't Drive This is officially coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 19! And even better: It's available for pre-order riiight about… now! Did I mention it's 10% off as well? It really is! ![]() Can't Drive This is a chaotic, asymmetrical split-screen multiplayer party racing game (buzzword bingo anyone?), where one player races a monster truck while another player builds the road! And if the driver drops below the speed limit, they'll explode and it's game over, baby. Like in that movie with Sandy B and ol' Johnny Cyberhands, remember? Except they were on a bus. Also, they didn't explode (sorry, spoilers). We've been working on Can't Drive This for quite a while now, and we're super excited to finally be bringing it to Xbox. We miss the days of hanging with friends, and playing some good old couch multiplayer games. The shortage of four-player split-screen games is outrageous, right? That's why Can't Drive This features local multiplayer with up to four players — no matter if you're in the mood for some cooperative high score chasing, or a friendly round of competitive Capture the Egg (Yes, egg. Not flag). ![]() No worries though, if you don't have friends around to play (which, let's be honest, you probably don't at the time). Between the single-player mode, and online multiplayer, you can safely enjoy the game from the isolated comfort of your couch. The first prototype for the game was created in only 72 hours, during a game jam in 2016 — and now, a generous funding by the FFF Bayern, and more than four years later, it's finally time to push the baby out of the nest. Can't Drive This is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store now, and it'll drop onto your hard drives on March 9. ![]() Thanks for your time, and from the entire team: We hope you enjoy the game! See you on the streets! ![]() Can't Drive ThisPixel Maniacs $19.99 $17.99 Can't Drive This is a competitive co-op (it's a thing) multiplayer party racing game. Drive your monster truck WHILE your friend builds the road in front of you! Oh, and don't go too slow, OR YOU'LL EXPLODE! Like in that Sandra Bullock movie, in which she kinda does the same thing, but on a bus. Also, she doesn't explode (Spoiler alert). Also, Keanu Reeves was in the movie. World of Tanks and World of Warships: Legends Deliver New March Updates Posted: 09 Mar 2021 12:00 PM PST Summary
March is coming in hot with new events, ships, and projects in World of Warships: Legends on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One! There's a new campaign to earn a multi-role Russian cruiser, plus two new legendary ship projects, the full release of British heavy cruisers, and some events to dive into. World of Tanks is heating things up as well this month with the arrival of its latest season, Flashpoint! Let's look at what's waiting for you in the world of tactical warfare! ![]() World of Warships: Legends – Taken by the Storm The new campaign in World of Warships: Legends is called Taken By Storm, which refers to the namesake event that the featured ship Ochakov is named after. In the late 18th century, the city of Ochakov was taken by Russian forces in a smashing victory, aided in part by the Russian Navy in the area. We took inspiration from this event in naming the Ochakov, which is based on a post-war Russian design for a small light cruiser. This tier VII ship is setup for whatever you may encounter in battle, with eight excellent 6-inch (152 mm) guns, long-range torpedoes on each side, plus sonar and radar all make this little cruiser a valuable asset to your team. You can earn Ochakov along with a ton of loot and equipment by completing the 100 milestones of the campaign with Admiralty Backing. Admiralty Backing drastically increases the rewards you can get from the campaign and helps you get the most out of each update, it is available in the campaign overview for doubloons. There are a couple of legendary-tier ship projects arriving in the Bureau as well: British battleship Conqueror and the American destroyer Gearing. With a ludicrous broadside of twelve 16.5-inch (419 mm) guns, Conqueror is more than capable of dishing out some serious damage in the legendary tier. The Gearing was a long-serving class of destroyers that initially carried a powerful set of torpedoes and 5-inch guns as her main armament. You can start on these legendary projects in the Bureau during this update to add these ships into your fleet permanently. ![]() Last update brought the first British heavy cruisers into early access, and now they are being unleashed into the high seas! Every ship in the line can now be researched and unlocked, including Albemarle at tier VII. The British heavy cruisers carry low velocity, heavy hitting guns plus a powerful repair party and sonar. Albemarle tops it all off with the addition of a radar, giving her a powerful set of tools with the right captain at the helm. There are also some special additions coming into the game for the upcoming holidays. St. Patrick's Day will be featured up front with some unique camouflages, literal pots of gold, and Belfast. Ranked battles are slated to make a return for a couple of weekends, giving you the best chance to earn a handful of steel badges. Plus, there's a new commander coming for U.S. Destroyers, specializing in improving their torpedo armaments. ![]() Not to mention, there's something spacial on the event horizon soon for April Fool's Day! World of Tanks – Flashpoint It's going to be a busy update on the seas, no doubt… and it's not going to be any quieter on the World of Tanks war front, thanks to the launch of Flashpoint! World of Tanks – Flashpoint is the brand-new season of content designed to bring the battlefield forward into the next era of tank warfare. Just like our previous seasons, it challenges tankers to climb through 100 Levels by earning XP in multiplayer battles. As tankers rise through the levels, they'll receive rich rewards including gold, key cards, silver, and exclusive visual upgrades… and they can earn even more season-exclusive rewards by acquiring a World of Tanks – Flashpoint Season Pass! ![]() But what do players love most about World of Tanks? That's right, the tanks! The ultimate rewards of World of Tanks – Flashpoint are four tanks that represent a new chapter in the game's history as it progresses from its World War II-era theme toward the formidable Cold War years. With the regular season progression, every tanker will have a chance to earn the hard-hitting 50TP Prototyp Heavy Tank from the Polish tank line. Players with a season pass will be able to earn two additional tanks: the console-exclusive Chinese Type 59-II tank and the brand-new American T77 tank with the historic Creighton Abrams Commander. Players with a World of Tanks Ultimate Season Pass will get one more coveted item on top of the regular season rewards and the season pass content: the all-new Polish CS-52 LIS! Not only does the CS-52 LIS come with a tank commander straight from the pages of history (the astounding Edmund Orlik Commander); it also paves the way for a massive update to the Polish tech tree with the introduction of the Polish medium line of tanks, coming later this spring! Are you ready to march on toward greatness in battle? Then join us for all the new content in World of Warships: Legends and World of Tanks Flashpoint!
