Luxury watchmaker and fashion accessory brand Tag Heuer has teased a new and surprising collaboration with none other than Super Mario.

Very little has been revealed about the collab so far, but what we do know is that an exclusive limited-edition product is set to go up for early access next week. You can register on Tag Heuer's website to gain access to this early listing if you wish; the page features a countdown to the big reveal, alongside an image of the Mario case shown above.

Sakurai Reminds Us There's Only One DLC Fighter Left For Smash Ultimate (Again)

First 4 Figures Reveals Sonic's Shadow The Hedgehog Statue Line

Pre-orders for the Sonic the Hedgehog - Shadow statue line are now available from the First 4 Figures website. There are two versions of Super Shadow and two versions of Shadow the Hedgehog.

If you place an order before 21st July, you'll get the early bird special. Each of the individual statues is currently on sale for $533.49 USD, after the early bird discount ends they'll each cost you $582.99. There's also a combo deal, where you can get both figures for a total of $1,033.99. After the early bird offer ends this will cost you $1,099.99.

Ah, to live in the Mushroom Kingdom, where the sun always shines (unless Bowser's nicked the Shine Sprites again) and the sea is always a lovely bright blue (filled with horrible underwater platforming levels). We're not bitter because the pandemic is stopping us from getting on a plane or heading to the beach. Not at all. No. We love the inside. It's where all the video games are.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate Trailer Showcases Enhanced Visuals, Rival Rush And More

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is SEGA's showcase release for its famous mascot's 30th anniversary this year, bringing the well-regarded Wii-exclusive to a range of platforms, from the fanciest new 4K machines to the versatile Switch. It's not far away, due on 7th September, so there's a new trailer (above) to showcase benefits and new features in this enhanced version.

It gives a look at the boost to visuals, in addition to the doubling of framerate to 60fps - here's hoping the Switch version can deliver that full-fat framerate along with solid HD visuals. There are new features, too - the standout may be Rival Rush, where you race Metal Sonic on various courses to earn rewards.

We only found out about the Poké Lid project a few months ago, but we've fallen deeply in love with the Pokémon-themed manhole covers all the same.

These manhole covers are new takes on a traditional art in Japan: representing the beauty of the Japanese countryside in an otherwise very practical piece of round metal. The Poké Lids in particular were designed to boost tourism, and have been installed in cities and towns across the country — so if you want to see all 100+ lids, you'll have to go on a lid crawl.

Famitsu's Japanese chart figures are now in for the week ending 4th July, revealing that Mario Golf: Super Rush has managed to stay top of the pile for a second consecutive week.

The game sold another estimated 31,685 physical copies this week, helping it to stay ahead of Game Builder Garage which is still performing nicely in second. No new games hit the top ten this week, although Nintendo will be pleased to see that nine of those ten are Switch titles.

Talking Point: Where Does The Switch OLED Announcement Leave The Rumoured Switch Pro?

Was it hot air all along, or is it still coming?

This week, Nintendo did its usual thing of shadow-dropping a major announcement on a (largely) unsuspecting world, and now the dust has settled on the reveal of the Switch OLED Model, it's time to ask the vital question: where does that leave the much-rumoured Switch Pro?

In case you somehow missed it, the Switch OLED Model offers a larger 7-inch screen with superior brightness and deeper, more convincing contrast. Nintendo has also included improved speakers, a Microsoft Surface-style kickstand and a LAN port on the redesigned dock – all in a machine that retails for $350. However, there's no boost to the console's power when compared to the original Switch and Switch Lite – and the battery capacity is the same as the original Switch model (to be specific, the improved 2019 iteration), too.

Lonely Mountains: Downhill Update Adds New Modifiers, Including A Mario Kart-Style Mirror Mode

Lonely Mountains: Downhill, Thunderful and Megagon's excellent bike trial game, has received another new update that hopes to give players a "completely fresh" experience.

The update adds all-new Modifiers for the game's daily leaderboard competition Daily Rides, essentially giving experienced players new and unexpected ways to spend their time on track. You can expect to find new trail layouts, an overpowered Super Bike that'll have you racing down the mountain like never before, and even a "mind-twisting" Mirror Modifier, flipping each course in a similar vein to Mario Kart's Mirror Mode.

Review: Ys IX: Monstrum Nox - A Fine Action-RPG With Performance Issues On Switch

Ysy like Sunday morning.

It's been a little over three years since we last saw a new entry in the Ys (rhymes with "geese") franchise, when Lacrimosa of Dana broke the nearly twenty-year period where new entries skipped Nitnendo consoles. We absolutely loved that release, and now that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is out, we can confidently say that it almost lives up to that high standard its predecessor set. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox stumbles quite a bit with some performance issues, but it ultimately redeems itself through the sheer quality of its excellent combat, enchanting exploration, and high-octane music.

The narrative follows the intrepid red-haired adventurer Adol Christin and his loyal companion Dogi, whose wandering lifestyle has brought them to the gothic city of Balduq. Upon arrival, Adol is promptly arrested for the mayhem he's caused on previous adventures, and he's tossed into the clink by the local authorities without any further due process.
