If you caught the trailer for The Legend of Sonic: Breath of the Hedgehog yesterday – sorry, Sonic Frontiers – you might have heard a mysterious, ghostly voice near the start of the clip.

As you'll no doubt recall, the newly released footage begins with Sonic being chased through a forest. After a few seconds, he stops in his tracks, distracted by a voice calling out to him, seemingly coming from a great distance or maybe even another world entirely.

Monopoly Madness Ditches The Board For A Whole New Way To Play, Out Now On Switch

The latest Monopoly video game has arrived on Nintendo Switch – and this one's a bit different.

In Monopoly Madness, you'll be playing the game "in a way you've never seen before," as the iconic Monopoly board is scrapped in favour of a real-time competitive race around a 3D world. You'll need to roam the streets of Monopoly City to collect money, water and electricity, grabbing power-ups from the Community Chests along the way to mess with your opponents and gain the upper hand.

Switch Just Enjoyed Its Best-Ever Hardware And Software Sales Week Across Europe

Back in November, it was revealed that the Nintendo Switch managed its best-ever sales week in the UK during the Black Friday madness. Now, Nintendo's revealed more about just how successful that week really was.

The company has announced that more Switch consoles and games were sold in the UK and across Europe during that week – the one starting 22nd November 2021 – than any other week in the console's lifespan. The previous record, Nintendo says, was set back in November 2019.

The other Sonic announcement at this year's Game Awards show was Sonic Frontiers. Yes, Sega has made the next big entry in the long-running Sonic the Hedgehog video game series official.

It's likely to be the biggest Sonic game fans have ever seen - with "open-zone" freedom, powerful enemies, and a vast array of landscapes to speed around in. It's being developed by the experienced members at Sonic Team Japan, with a story penned by Ian Flynn - head writer of IDW's current Sonic the Hedgehog comic (via Game Informer).

At long last, we've finally got a solid release date for the Cuphead 'Delicious Last Course' DLC - it's arriving next year on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms on 30th June 2022.

The announcement was made during this year's Game Awards show. The DLC has been delayed on multiple occasions in the past, so hopefully, it'll actually arrive in 2022.

At The Game Awards, Sonic voice actor Ben Schwartz presented the first official trailer for the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The film, due out on 8th April 2022, sees Schwatz once again joined by Jim Carrey (Robotnik), and the cast has been bolstered with Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckle.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Brings The Fight To Nintendo Switch Next Year

Well, it looks like the rumours were true - Atlus has now officially revealed the fighting game Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be making a return as part of the Persona series' 25th anniversary celebrations.

It'll be arriving on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms next year on 17th March. According to Atlus, it'll also be "Ver.2.50" - which has "never before" been released on console platforms.

Random: Ace Attorney Says OBJECTION! To Drugs In Japanese Anti-Marijuana Campaign

6,000 posters and 4,000 leaflets featuring the characters from The Great Ace Attorney have been printed in Japan in an attempt to combat "cannabis abuse", Capcom announced today.

The partnership between Capcom and the government has been going on since 2009, and has been aimed towards "crime prevention enlightenment" as well as "economic promotion, cultural enlightenment... and election voting enlightenment". This is the first time that Ace Attorney characters have been used in these campaigns.
