Black Isle Studios Is Bringing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II To Switch In 2022 Posted: 22 Feb 2022 04:45 PM PST It's coming "sooner than you think". We heard last year how Black Isle Studios was interested in reviving Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II for modern platforms, and now it's been officially confirmed. In a brief message over on the social media platform Twitter, Black Isle said the second game in the action RPG series would be coming "sooner than you think" at some point this year. Remember that scrappy little kid in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, who won a podracing tournament against a bunch of weird-looking aliens? Well, that kid ended up accidentally setting off a chain of events that would span nine feature-length movies, countless books and video games, and a whole lot of memes about having the high ground. Who could have guessed! And now, just to bring the whole thing full-circle, we're about to get a video game retelling of the "Skywalker Saga", the nine-movie plot arc that follows the Skywalker family from Shmi Skywalker all the way down to her great-grandson Ben — and it's told through LEGO. While some of you may have a soft spot for C-3PO and R2-D2, deep down, we all know that the best droid in the entire Star Wars saga is K-2SO from Rogue One. It's just a fact, so deal with it. You can see why, then, this canny fusion of droid and handheld has us so excited. Twitter account From4-LOMtoZuckuss spotted this amazing custom job by illustrator and toy designer Greg Dmnt, which takes a K-2SO action figure and combines it with part of a DMG-01 console.
