Video: YouTuber's Ultimate Switch OLED Test "Finally" Delivers Burn-In After 3,600 Hours

There's really "nothing to worry about".

You might recall a story we ran earlier this year about a 1,800-hour Switch OLED burn-in test. It was done by the graphic artist and content creator Bob Wulff over on his YouTube channel the Wulff Den. At the time, there was "no noticeable burn-in".

He's now posted an update over on YouTube, and in this video, he reveals how the system finally has some signs of burn-in. It's happened after about six months and roughly 3,600 hours. Again, that's the Switch running a still screen of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild day in, day out, on the one screen, and it's taken that long to show some signs of ghosting.

Dungeon Color Is A Rainbow-Filled Puzzle Game About Setting Your Head On Fire

39 new characters are locked behind DLC and pre-order bonuses.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be out on April 5th for the Nintendo Switch, and ahead of that launch, developer TT Games has announced the post-launch character pack DLC to add even more faces to the cast of the nine mainline Star Wars movies.

These character packs can be purchased separately or together in the Character Collection, and will include characters from newer Star Wars shows and films including Rogue One, Solo, and The Mandalorian.

Fantasy Metroidvania 'Ender Lilies' Gets Physical Release From Limited Run

Limited Run Games has announced the upcoming release of Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights in physical form, with pre-orders set to go live on March 8th — that's tomorrow!

As with most products from Limited Run Games, it's not clear exactly when the game will go into full production, but die-hard fans can look forward to a Collector's Edition for $64.99 which will include a copy of the game (we should hope so!), reversible poster, enamel pin, and the original soundtrack by artist Mili. The standard version of the game will cost $39.99.

With 100 returning minigames from the entire franchise and five classic boards to play on, Mario Party Superstars is a nostalgia feast bigger than Peach's Birthday Cake. It's the sort of game that's ripe for DLC, and if YouTube ads are anything to go by, there might be some on the way.

Loot boxes have been around for a little while now, yet their implementation in games continues to face scrutiny and controversy. In the latest development concerning this particular form of microtransactions, major publisher Take-Two interactive is facing a class action lawsuit over its use of loot boxes in the NBA 2K franchise.

Originally reported by Bloomberg, the suit was filed on behalf of a minor and their guardian, with the complainant stating that loot boxes "psychologically distance" players from the true financial impact of such purchases, with minors being particularly susceptible to their appeal.

Five-ish years ago, in February 2017, I had just decided to move country. I had moved out of my ludicrously expensive London apartment that I shared with two other people the year before, in order to travel the world a little bit and generally be very in my 20s. I mostly hopped from couch to couch, staying with generous friends, here and there, which freed me up to go to conferences and conventions in exotic locales without having to worry about rent back home.

A Long Lost N64 Video Game Prototype Has Been Released

See this 1999 build of Carnivalé: Cenzo's Adventure.

It's always nice when a long lost game is unearthed and today is one of those days. Reintroducing the cancelled Nintendo 64 title, Carnivalé: Cenzo's Adventure.

This obscure 3D platformer, developed by Terrraglyph Interactive Studios and published by Vatical Entertainment, was shown to the public back at E3 1999 and was based on an animated film of the same name that received a limited release in certain European countries. Preservation website Forest of the Illusion has now released this "unfinished" 1999 prototype build on the internet with the assistance of 'Baker64'.
